Contiguous patches for sustainable mining are available in the river bed area under the ownership of HP Govt. and possession of the Forest Department. Area in Khasra No. 857 measuring 150 bighas 12.41 ha. of mauza Kedarpur of Paonta Sahib Tehsil. As such the letter of Intent No. Udyog Bhu Khani 4 Laghu 528/2017 dated 08.03.2017 regarding the auction of minor mineral quarries Sand, Stone & Bajri of District Sirmour held on 23.11.2016, the highest annual auction bid for above proposed area offered by M/S Akhilesh Enterprises SPA Kuldeep Singh Teh. Paonta Sahib, Distt. Sirmour HP the area was awarded to the same for the lease period of 15 years. Being a river bed that gets recharged annually by the natural water flow and absence of tree in the area to be diverted, project may be approved under FCA, 1980. Also as mentioned in joint inspection report of committee, illicit mining that may sometime happen in the area will be thwarted post diversion.
