Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion :
The purpose of diversion is construction of Cluster Bus depot for Delhi Transport Department, Govt. of Delhi.

The vulnerability of Forest area to erosion is minimal as the density of trees is only 10.9 % and depot will be constructed soon after diversion.

This proposal is for the diversion of 1.84 ha of forest land Protected Forest at East Vinod Nagar, Delhi for the construction of Cluster Bus Depot submitted by Delhi Transport Department. The said land was handed over to Transport Department Delhi by Dy. Director IL , DDA as per the master plan and there is no alternate site available with Transport Department which is suitable for construction of Depot. Further, this project of construction is for accommodating new CNG Gas propelled buses and electric buses which will be helpful in reducing the alarming pollution level of the capital city. An equal area of non –forest land is identified for compensatory afforestation at Malikpur Delhi which will be mutated in favour of Forest Department.
