There are two wildlife sanctuary in UT, Chandigarh. one is Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary and another is City Bird Sanctuary. Entire area of UT, Chandigarh falls within a distance of 10 KM from both sanctuaries. No any rare/endangered/unique species of Flora & Fauna found in the area required for diversion and project site is neither a wildlife habitat nor falls within these wildlife sanctuaries
