Chuha, Newla, Langur, Jangli Suwar, Bhalu, Chamgadadh, Chital, Gilhari, Tendua, Kotri, Khargos, Elephant etc,

Details and comments on the impact of Project on such areas :
The proposed project lies in Elephant corridor as reported by the study undertaken under CAMPA of Chhattisgarh Forest Department. Proposed Lemru Reserve too lies within 3 KM distance. The project lies in 2 Ranges ie. Chal and Dharamjaigarh, where elephant resides all around the year due to good forest, adequate water source and suitable habitat. At various points elephants regularly crosses proposed rail line too. Hence extra care and precautionary measures needs to be undertaken to save Elephants from getting injured when line starts by way of planning elephant passes at crossing points. Also keeping train speed at 40 KMPH necessary when it runs.

Whether the forest land proposed for diversion is located within eco-sensitive zone(ESZ) of the Protected Area notified under Wildlife(Protection) Act,1972 (Note: In case, ESZ of a Protected Area is not notified,then,10kms distance from boundary of the Protected Area should be treated as ESZ):
