The construction of the transmission line is a govt. of India project having national interest. It will improve overall power scenario without causing any major damage to the forest and environment provided mitigated measures are implemented by the user agency as per guidelines. Therefore, the diversion of the 1.483 Ha of forest landfor construction of 400 kV D/C Silchar Misa Transmission line by NER II Transmission Ltd, which is the barest minimum required for this project is recommended for acceptance

The proposal is recommended for acceptance as per guideline of MoEF&CC under FC Act,1980. For the safety of elephant it is suggested to maintain minimum 8.84 m. height above the ground at the lowest point of the lowest conductor or grounding wire of the power lines.
