The diversion work of 132 KV S/C Haflong Jiribam Transmission line of Power Grid Corporation under Borail Wildlife Sanctuary East Block under Cachar Division is needed for facilitating to execute the construction of Balacherra Harengajao 4 lane Highway a Govt. of India Project having National interest. It will improve the communication system of the North Eastern region without causing major damage of the forest and environment provided mitigated measures are implemented by the User Agency as per guideline of F.C.Act,1980. As the forest area proposed for diversion is unavoidable and barest minimum required for the project, therefore, the diversion of the forest land as above is recommended for acceptance subject to fulfillment of the terms and conditions of F.C.Act .
