The forest land in the name & style Bhairab Hill Stone Quarry [5.0 hal is proposed for operation of quarry will enable to meet the huge demand of stone materials required for the development works to be carried out by the Govt./Semi Govt. and private requirement within the district and its neighboring districts and also earn substantial amount by way of revenue to the state exchequer. The project will also generate greater employment opportunities and thereby will boost the income of economically backward unskilled labours. All alternative options were examined and no suitable land was found. Considering the fact stated above, it is recommended for acceptance of this proposal.

The proposed Mining for Extraction of Stone/Boulders for use/suply in developmental activities under Bongaigaon and adjoining districts is ed on the Proposed Reserve Forest where the density of the Forest is nil and thereby requiring minimal or no felling of trees and disturbance to the Wildlife will be nil. The requirement of the Forest land is unavoidable and barest minimum for the Project. The area proposed for diversion does not form part of any Wildlife Sanctuary.
