  Details of Protected Area and comments on the impact of Project on the ESZ : The Project was proposed prior to the Notification of Raimona National and also there is no notified ESZ of Raimona National Park, therefore the boundary is calculated on the basis of General Slandered i.e. 10 KM, the Proposed area though falls inside the ESZ but there will be no impact on flora and fauna in the area as the mining will be done as per Mining Plan approved by Director, Mining Geology and under Forest Department strict vigilance.

Therefore the diversion of the Forest Land Area 6.90 HA is recommended for acceptance.
Western Assam Circle, KokrajharCF RecommendedThe concerned Director of Mining & Geology has already approved the Proposal & the User Agency already obtained EC from SEIAA. It is also clear that the Project was proposed prior to the Notification of Raimona National Park and the proposed site falls within 10 kms from Raimona National Park. However the ESZ of Raimona National Park has not yet been notified. Moreover there will not be any impact on flora and fauna in the area as it is a River Bed and the mining will be done as per Approved Mining Plan and under Forest Department’s strict vigilance. The Quarry MCA is likely to fulfill the needs of Minor Mineral and support the Major and Minor Developmental activities of various Govt. Departments / Private Sectors and thus generate revenue to the Govt. exchequer without any damage to Forest and Environment and it may also create employment opportunities improving economic condition of the local people provided mitigative measures are implemented by the User Agency as per guidelines. Therefore the diversion of the Forest Land Area 6.90 HA is recommended for acceptance.Yes
