The proposed diversion proposal Kasomarigaon EPS of ONGC are located within Doyang Reserved Forest under Golaghat Division. The diversion of forest land measuring 3.63 ha. for the diversion proposal Kasomarigaon EPS, of ONGC, Cinnamora, Jorhat. The proposed diversion proposal aims to construct an EPS close to existing site of KSAB well in Doyang reserve Forest. by ONGC, Cinnamara, Jorhat is hereby recommended as proposed by the user agency. Further requisition for the Forest land is not required for the diversion of project.

As per the Inspection Report of Conservator of Forests, Eastern Assam Circle, Jorhat there were no any rare/endangered/unique species of flora and fauna was found in the proposed diversion area and also it is neither part of any Protected area nor falling within the Eco Sensitive Zone. Therefore, the forest diversion proposal for 3.63 hectares for Kasomarigaon EPS in Doyang Reserved Forest under Golaghat Division in favour of ONGC, Jorhat is hereby recommended.
