A proposal FP/AS/Others/148210/2021 has been received for diversion of 0.0225 Ha. of land at Bazarghat Forest Village in Longai Reserved Forest for non forestry purpose under FC Act 1980. A site Inspection was done on 01.04.2022. The area is being diverted for setting up of Mobile Tower by Reliance Jio Info Com Ltd. Establishment of Mobile Tower may be done with minum distrubances to the environment. Effective steps are to be founded by the User Agency to tackle any issue which may arise in the area due to the project and to support the conservation of flora & fauna in Longai Reserved Forest. Therefore, the permission for diversion of 0.0225 Ha. of Forest land is recommanded for the aforesaid purpose.

The diversion of 0.0225 Ha. Forest land under Longai Reserved Forests of Lowairpoa Range for laying Mobile Tower by Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. under Karimganj Division would not cause major damage to the forest and environment provided mitigated measures are implemented by the User Agency as per guideline of F.C.Act,1980. As the forest area proposed for diversion is unavoidable and barest minimum required for the project, therefore, the diversion of the forest land as above is recommended for acceptance subject to fulfillment of the terms and conditions of F.C.Act. Installation of mobile towers will improve mobile connectivity in fringe area and also will improve connectivity among forest personnel. Hence the proposal may kindly be considered.
