The proposed project is a diversion of forest land for installation of mobile tower for communication network by Reliance Jio within Inner line reserved area under Hailakandi Division. I have recommended the diversion proposal as proposed by the User Agency.

The diversion of 0.0225 Ha. Forest land under Inner Line Reserved Forests of Gharmurah Range for laying Mobile Tower by Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. under Hailakandi Division would not cause any major damage to the forest and environment provided mitigated measures are implemented by the User Agency as per guideline of F.C.Act,1980. As the forest area proposed for diversion is unavoidable and barest minimum required for the project, therefore, the diversion of the forest land as above is recommended for acceptance subject to fulfillment of the terms and conditions of F.C.Act. Installation of mobile tower will improve the mobile connectivity in fringe areas.
