(i).
Details of wildlife present in and around the forest land proposed for diversion :
The diversion area of 3.545 ha. under Mesaki R.F (MKD) does not fall within any wildlife sanctuary and national park, Biosphere Reserve, Tiger Reserve, Elephant Corridor. However, drilling location is at 6.0 Km from Dibru-Saikhowa National Park.

The drilling location site is selected after geological studies and interpretation of data obtained from seismic survey. There is indication of strong possibilities of presence of hydrocarbon in location MKD which falls in the forest area.Since the location site is scientifically determined based on geological and seismic data, it is not possible to change the site.
