The area has various species including elephants, leopard, hoolock gibbon etc.

Details and comments on the impact of Project on such areas :
The proposed area is part of Dehing Patkai Elephant Reserve. Use of heavy machinery could also have adverse impact on animals living in the area, especially during drilling and workover operations. Also, this could increase the man animal conflict in adjoining areas. A biodiversity and man animal conflict management plan is to be prepared to accurately assess and address the issues that could arise.
