The proposed diversion land in Doyang Reserved Forest is under Golaghat Division. The project is a diversion of Forest land measuring 2.75 ha in Doyang Reserved Forest vide proposal No. AS/MIN/146691/2021 is to produce Hydro Carbon in the area I hereby recommend the diversion of forest land area measuring 2.75 ha in Doyang Reserved Forest proposed by User Agency

Specific Recommendation The proposal for development of DPDU drilling site is located inside Doyang reserved forest under Golaghat division. It was inspected by the undersigned along with the DFO Golaghat division and User Agency on 10 03 2022. The proposed diversion area is 2.75 Ha. During my inspection to the site it was observed that the proposed area is devoid of any forest cover. There are people in the vicinity who apparently practice agriculture in the said area. The proposed site is neither a part of any protected area nor falls within the eco sensitive zone of any wildlife sanctuary within Assam. The proposal is a non linear project. The project aims to develop and drill new oil and gas well s as per the proposal within the boundary of this area. The diversion is recommended subject to the condition that necessary biodiversity and management interventions as directed by the forest department will be strictly implemented so as to cause minimal disturbance to the wildlife and to mitigate man animal conflict and to conserve biodiversity around the proposed area.
