The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, Jorhat, Assam is the user agency who submitted the proposal. As per the proposal, the proposed area of diversion named as ‘ONGC Exploratory Drilling Location KHBK’ is an exploratory location and the area is proposed for the purpose of drilling for exploration of hydrocarbon. The proposed area of diversion is located in Rengma Reserve Forest under Golaghat Division which is an open land and there is no any tree available. Further no water body is available near the site.
