E.A.C, JorhatDFO RecommendedThe proposed drilling of development wells namely DPDS and DPDT within the existing site of Suphayam 1 of ONGC are located within Doyang Reserved Forest under Golaghat Division. The diversion of forest land measuring 1.69 ha. was made available during 1997. The projects aim to drill development wells within the Suphayam 1 site. Forest clearance for Suphayam 1 site is already in possession with user agency ONGC . The existing land is still in use by ONGC and fund for CA schemes and NPV has already been paid by user agency for forest clearance of Suphayam 1 site. The drilling of development wells i.e DPDS and DPDT at Suphayam 1 drill site by ONGC, Cinnamara, Jorhat is hereby recommended as proposed by the user agency. Further requisition for the Forest land is not required for this project.
