Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion :
As per the working plan the proposed diversion area i.e. Compt. No. 322 & 323 of Ramapuram and Valleruvaripalli Beats, Badvel Range is proposed under Degraded Forest Working Circle and Red Sander Improvement Working Circle. The proposed area of diversion falls under Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Forests and sub type is Dry Mixed Deciduous Forests with density 0.4 by comprising Chloroxylon swetenia, Bauhinia purpurea, Turnera ulmifolia, Zyzyphus harridan, Hardwickia binata, Acasia Sandra, Anagesious latifolia etc. species including thorny bushes. The area is plain, undulating and hilly terrain. The soil is Red soil clubbed with boulders and rocky out crop. The existing forest is scrub type of forest. There are no endangered, rare and unique species of flora and fauna and no defence establishments or any other important monuments.

Erosion to a certain degree is anticipated due to formation of road, but control measures are to be taken up by the user agency

Penusila Narasimha Sanctuary was notified under section 18 of Wild Life Protection Act 1972 vide G. O. Ms. No. 106 EFS & T-For-III, Dept. Dt..15-09-1997. 1997 with an extent of 1030.85 Sq. Kms in Kadapa and Nellore Districts. There is no impact on flora and fauna because of the project.

The proposed paved shoulders to a width of 5.00 mts on either sides of existing road will not have any impact on the flora and fauna. However the Badvel – Nellore BT Road is already existing and makes no difference. There is no impact of the project on the adjoining forests.
