It is a part of Nagarjuna Sagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve (Rajiv Gandhi Wild Life Sanctuary) in Markapur (WL) Division of Project Tiger Circle, Srisailam. The said area falls in the buffer zone of Nagarjuna Sagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve.
