Compensatory afforestation will be carried out over non forest land equivalent in extent to the forest area to be broken up afresh at the project cost. Non Forest land identified for compensatory afforestration will be notified as reserve/ protected forest
An area of 8.13 hects out of 19.223 hect. of mine lease area was already broken up prior to FC Act 1980.The Lessee has provided 17.30 hects. in place of 11.093 hects for compensatory afforestation. Since the land allotted in one compact patch in Khasra No. 167, Patwari Halka No. 18 in village Khairamal has handed over to Divisional Forest Officer, West Mandla for compensatory afforestation. OCL has deposited Rs.1,66,395/- vide Demand Draft bearing no. 362304 dated 22.04.1996 vide our letter no.RGRR:391/40A dated 13.05.1996 towards the cost for the above compensatory afforestation over 11.093 hect. to the Divisional Forest Officer, West Mandla as per demand letter no. 809 dated 23.04.1996 of DFO, Mandla

The user agency shall open a fuel wood depot at the project site for supply of fuel wood to staff & labours working in the project. The quantity of the fuel wood to be supplied will be prescribed by the Conservator of Forest/ Dy. Conservator of Forest concerned
There is no residential colony in the mines and workers working in the mines are coming from the nearby villages. No worker is interested to carry the fuel wood. However, fuel wood is being purchased yearly and kept at Mines site for workers

Necessary soil conservation measures shall be taken in the area by Project Authority as suggested by Forest Dept. Adequate treatment facility, garland drain, check dams etc. shall be installed to prevent water pollution
Necessary soil conservation measures is being taken in the area and we have been awarded 1st prize in “Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week” of Jabalpur region in the year 2008. Construction of Garland drains, settling tanks, Check dams etc. are being carried out in Mining lease area for soil conservation

Mine area reclamation and green belt development should be carried out concurrently to maximum possible extent at the project cost. The Lessee should take up planting work on the static dumps during the advance mining operation; undertake the afforestation measures in the area proposed for afforestation and also in the other blank area of lease area. These works will be carried out in consultation and as per direction of the Conservator of Forest and by Dy. Conservator of Forest concerned
Due to existence of Dolomite, no reclamation has been carried out. However, we have already submitted an assurance of Rs. 10000/- per hectare for reclamation to Govt. Plantation has been carried out on dumps, safety zone area to develop green belt. About 6781 trees were planted in Safety zone area, on dumps and other suitable places and survival of plantation is about 60%. Till date survival of saplings is about 3440 nos

Effective pollution control measures with respect to Air Quality, Water quality, noise should be implemented
Regular monitoring of Air quality, water quality and noise level is being conducted by the MP Pollution Control Board. Effective control measures are being implemented as advised by MP pollution control board and as per approved mining Plan/Scheme

We are providing drinking water facility to nearby villagers, financial assistance to the Educational Institute, Conducting medical camps, Providing free medicines, various accessories to farmers. There is separate fund provision for Community development
