The proposed area of diversion, 1.146 Ha, is located in three different locations of two different reserve forests namely Rengma RF and Nambor south RF. But in the inspection report of the DFO, it is not mentioned. Further in the georeference maps submitted by the user agency all the locations are shown in Nambor RF, which is incorrect. These require rectification.

I, Sri S.K Thakuria, AFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Golaghat Division, Golaghat have inspected the proposed diversion site vide proposal No. FP/AS/Others/45053/2020 for diversion of forest land for Nambor-Golaghat-Numaligarh area Gas Pipeline Project by Assam Gas Company Ltd. Dibrugarh, Duliajan, Assam of 0.36 ha. in Nambor South Reserved Forest, 0.37 ha. also in Rengma Reserved Forest and 0.416 ha in Rengma Reserved Forest on 20/08/2021 along with Officials of Assam Gas Company Ltd. accompanied by Range Forest Officer, Naojan Range.
The proposed diversion area 1.146 ha. (on 3 sites) is open forest and devoid of trees which falls within Nambor South Reserved Forest and Rengma Reserved Forest. During my inspection I have found no rare or endangered or any unique species of flora and fauna

The DFO, Golaghat has allotted CA land of 2.292 ha in Nambar North RF area, but the User Agency is a State PSU and therefore, the CA land must be provided by the User Agency in Non-Forest land.
Therefore, you are requested to ask the UA to provide non-forest land for raising CA.
