Administration deems this proposal for diversion of 23.32 Ha. of Protected Forest land for widening & strengthening of existing road from Khanvel Chowk to Khedpa Border as essential and stated that this interstate road is used by pilgrims going to Nashik Shirdi Road and Tryamabakeshar and hence is unavoidable. Hence. under these circumstances this proposal is recommened.

Nodal Officer Recommended The Khanvel to Khedpa road connects with Maharashtra and is an important stretch in Dadra & Nagar Haveli. This road is used by pilgrims and others going to Tryambakeshwar / Nashik / Shirdi. Since it is vital road, widening and strenghening of the existing road is unavoidable and is required. Such being the position, the proposal is recommended.
